Over the course of seven years, Sean Corrigan has written twelve
screenplays, numerous plays, and has starred in several films,
including "Equinox Knocks" which played in theatres. A SAG-eligible
actor, Sean also has had lead speaking roles in commercials for Time
Warner, Texas Tomorrow Fund, and Michael Angelo's Frozen Foods.
Corrigan has won over 30 awards for his writing. He placed second in
the 1999 National One-Act Playwriting Contest, placed 8th out of
3,200 in the Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competition in 1999,
and won the 2000 Scriptapalooza Television Screenwriting contest for
a Sex And The City episode. Three of his plays have been produced in
New York City and Washington D.C. Corrigan has optioned four of his
scripts, one of which, "Strangers in Transit", was filmed in San
Antonio.
Last year Corrigan directed his first feature film, "Insignificant
Other", which received three stars from Chris Gore's Film Threat
website review, and has been called a "...strong directorial debut"
by 20th Century Fox. He has entered the 2003 Austin Film Festival
and hopes to have the premiere for "Insignificant Other" in Austin.
He is currently a finalist (top 11) in the Final Draft Screenwriting
Contest for his feature script, "Irish Luck", which he hopes to
co-produce with director Jeff Stolhand, whose "Master of the Game"
had a successful screening at SXSW.
